  • Covid-19 vaccinations (1st dose) should now have been completed for all patients aged over 70 living within Regis (central Bognor plus surrounding semi-rural areas). If you are over 70 and have not been invited, please let us know.
  • All housebound patients and care home residents should also have had their first vaccination.
  • Invitations are now being sent (by text, phone or letter) to all those aged over 65 - and those who are clinically vulnerable.
  • If you have received letter from NHS confirming you are Clinically Extremely Vulnerable and are able to travel, you can book your appointment at Mass Vaccination Site using national vaccine booking link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/
  • For appointments at Local Vaccination Site at Bognor Regis, PLEASE don't call us to ask when you will be invited. We have all the relevant information on our system and you will be called when due.
  • We are unable to commit your access to specific Pfizer or AstraZeneca UK Covid-19 vaccine when you attend your appointment for vaccination at Local Vaccine Site. This is due to type of vaccine available to us on a specific day and this could change from one type to other within minutes. If you have been recommended a specific vaccine by Hospital Consultant, please ask your hospital team to arrange access to that particular vaccine.
  • We are working in collaboration with local West Sussex CCG to ensure smooth delivery of 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccine at 11-12 weeks interval from your 1st dose. Booking team will contact you directly for this nearer the time depending on when we have supply of vaccine. Current recommendation is to have same vaccine type for 2nd dose as administered for 1st dose.
  • Please ensure we have your up to date phone number on records and supply us with mobile numbers if you have one. This will make it easier for booking teams to contact you without any unnecessary delay.
  • It is important to absolutely acknowledge that this remains very anxious time for everyone. We are constantly adapting according to changes in guidance and ensuring safe working environment for patients and staff. In addition to providing vaccinations locally we are also working hard to ensure as much usual service in our practices as possible. We are thankful for your continued patience in these challenging times.
Thank you

Covid-19 Vaccination Update

Avisford Medical Group and local surgeries have hit the 25,000 mark for number of 1st doses administered at Bognor Vaccination site.

Well done to all the Nurses, Doctors and Receptionists who have worked above and beyond for administering the Vaccination and running the Clinic smoothly.

You are superstars!

If you are in the first 6 cohorts now covering age groups older than 60 years, Clinically Extremely Vulnerable or Health/Social Care Worker, you will be telephoned by a member of staff from Innovations in Primary Care (IPC) to offer you an appointment.

Please only contact the Practice directly about your vaccination if you are more than 70 years old and have not had 1st dose of your COVID-19 Vaccination. For all other vaccination queries, please be aware that we have limited access to the appointments system and cannot influence who is invited to attend. This will be a rolling programme with second dose administered before 12 weeks. We will also simultaneously have campaign running over next weeks to cover housebound and care homes.

As the coronavirus remains a very real threat, it is likely that we will have less clinics and appointments available in surgery as we need to release staff to work in the vaccination centre. This is essential work tackling this public health crisis, so we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please continue to be safe. For information about local case rate please refer to West Sussex County Council. https://wsx-c19-weekly-supplement.netlify.app/

Maintain your social distancing, and ensure you follow the rules on isolation if you test positive, or have confirmed contact with someone who has tested positive.

If you feel you have Coronavirus symptom's please call 119 or go onto the government website and order a test.

stay safe everyone
