Covid-19 Vaccination Update

The combined efforts of the 8 Regis practices to deliver Covid vaccinations to those over 50 years old and those with significant underlying health conditions will be drawing to a close next week.  By that time our teams will have delivered over 60,000 vaccinations to our patients - this includes care homes, housebound patients and about 55,000 given in the local vaccination centre.

This project has involved large-scale organisation and the assistance of many people.  A huge thanks to all of those involved in the organisation, bookings, admin and clinical staffing - not forgetting the volunteers who have given up their own time to help ensure that the clinics have run smoothly.

If you are over 50 years old and have not had an appointment booked by Monday 24th May, you will need to contact 119, or book an appointment via the national booking website (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/).  Should you have problems booking via the national service or have any queries about the Covid-19 Vaccination programme please contact sxccg.vaccineenquiries@nhs.net. Alternatively you can phone 0800 433 4545 (open 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays)

If you are under 50 years of age, you will be contacted ( via text message and/or by phone) to book your appointment at our Local Vaccination Centre in Bognor Regis from the second week in June 2021. Alternatively, patients are advised to contact 119, or book an appointment via the national booking website (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/).

As the coronavirus remains a very real threat, it is likely that we will have less clinics and appointments available in surgery as we need to release staff to work in the vaccination centre. This is essential work tackling this public health crisis, so we thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please continue to be safe. For information about local case rate please refer to West Sussex County Council. https://wsx-c19-weekly-supplement.netlify.app/

Maintain your social distancing, and ensure you follow the rules on isolation if you test positive, or have confirmed contact with someone who has tested positive.

If you feel you have Coronavirus symptom's please call 119 or go onto the government website and order a test.

Stay safe everyone
